Extraordinary Stories of Ordinary Life

Marketing & Operations Manager (Part Time)

Radio Diaries is seeking a part-time Marketing & Operations Manager to increase the visibility of our work and help run a small non-profit. The role requires 15-20 hours of work per week and paid at a competitive hourly rate. This role is currently a part time position and does not qualify for job benefits. This position will be remote for the first 6-9 months. We predict to return to the office by September 2021, and hope an operations manager could work on site when necessary.

Radio Diaries is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and strongly encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities in the audio field to apply. We especially welcome applications from people of color, women, veterans, people with disabilities, and gender nonconforming candidates

The Manager will work closely with the Executive Producer, staff Producers, Editors and other consultants. They will take on most of the administrative responsibilities of a small non-profit organization: managing office space, handling finances, and assisting with fundraising. They will also take the lead on marketing: running social media accounts, creating new strategies for promoting our stories, and building partnerships to increase listenership and engagement. The ideal candidate would be invested in the work that we do and bring innovative ideas for how to grow our organization. While we don’t require experience in radio or podcasting specifically, familiarity with the landscape is a plus.

Radio Diaries is a small non-profit organization (three full-time staff) and we do not have a traditional hierarchical office culture–everybody does a bit of everything. The Manager will play an important role as we look to increase production and grow our team.
